What is a GPS Tracker? A GPS tracker is a device that "senses" its position using satellite communication - it sends its position to you, so you can track what you have mounted the device on. It can be used for cars, boats, motorcycles, industrial equipment and much more.
Cobblestone GPS Tracker is a standalone tracking device. This means that the device works independently with the settings given to it by the user. For example, if the user has set the device to "24 hours", it sends a position every 24 hours until it receives new instructions. The advantage of this is that the device continues to do as instructed without having to be notified over and over again.
Cobblestone comes with five different standard tracking profiles:
Constant The device sends a position every 10 minutes. Live Tracking The device sends a position when it is moved, every 15 minutes during movement and 15 minutes after the last movement. After transfer The device sends a position one hour after the last transfer. 24 hours The unit sends a position once a day. 7 days The unit sends one position a week.
Activation It takes less than a minute to activate a Cobblestone. The device ID is entered via the app or the web. The device is then given a name and a default profile is selected. Then shake the unit vigorously for 8 seconds before finishing.
